Custom Originals Australia Pty Ltd was established by Anna and Allan Payne in January 2011 when they acquired the Asia Pacific distribution of licensed Cat® Diecast Scale Model Replicas. The scale model distribution was an addition to the Payne’s family company Leagues Pty Ltd, a Caterpillar® promotional merchandise licensee established in 1997.
The two companies fitted perfectly together and specialised in providing a “one stop shop” service to the Asia Pacific Caterpillar® Dealer network. Together they offered an extensive range of Cat® Diecast Scale Models plus Cat® Promotional merchandise and Retail products from 17 other Cat® licensees around the world. The range included custom designed Cat® Merchandise, Scale Models and toys, apparel, headwear, drinkware, stationary, personal safety equipment, employee uniforms, travel bags, golf and sporting equipment and accessories, premium gifts and awards, retail watches, footwear, automotive accessories…
Anna’s 25 years of experience working with the Cat® Brand and Caterpillar® Brand Management team plus Allan’s 30 years of experience with sales and warehouse distribution created a great team that offered the ideal distribution business. In 2013 the Payne’s purchased a purpose built 1,000m2 distribution warehouse to allow the increasing expansion of the two businesses.
Custom Originals Australia’s primary focus is on Cat® branded products and we have added numerous other licensed Cat® products, specifically for the collectable and toy market to our offered products. Due to the high popularity of the Cat® brand in Asia Pacific, Custom Originals have became a very competitive distribution business to many Retail outlets as well as the Cat® Family channels. In June 2023 Anna and Allan sold their original company Leagues Pty Ltd so that they could focus primarily on Custom Originals and the distribution business. The separation of the two business has allowed for Custom Originals Australia to expand into the whole 1000m2 available warehouse space.
